Chevrolet for '68 has something to turn you on!
These are the instrumental beds for Chevrolet's 1968 radio commercial campaign. They are awesome. You should listen to them. There's not a lot more I can say about this. This record's on yellow vinyl. I guess that's pretty cool.
Here they are!

I have posted a couple of pages from this magazine before (the image above is the cover, and here's the Ric Flair pin-up), but I decided to go ahead and scan in the whole thing, including the awesome Superstar pin-up centerfold that the previous owner of this magazine defaced. You'll have to piece the 2 images together if you want to print it out and hang it on your wall, though. I know you can do it. I have faith in you.
I am, by the way, fully aware that I cannot scan a page from a magazine without it being totally crooked. It is my curse.

I got this picture disc as a birthday gift (thanks, Devlin and Mandy!) and it's awesome. Not the "listen to it multiple times" sort of awesome, but still.
Here's what you're getting: Some disco-type thing, then the audio of some wrestling matches and an interview then on side two some more narration and interviews (all in Japanese, of course) and then someone (I assume it is Tiger Mask) singing "I Can't Help Falling In Love With You" (In English) then more wrestling audio and disco and we're done.
Here's the link!

Hey, guys. Here are some songs I have been listening to lately. It's nothing rare or hard-to-find really. It's just a bunch of stuff that you may or may not have heard and that I hope you will like. I'm not posting a track list, but you'll get one if you download the file. There is some Serge Gainsbourg on here. And some Ronnie James Dio. And some Gino Washington. And...you know what? It's just 100% awesome. Thanks for reading my bullshit, dudes. I will put more records up as soon as I move back into my living room. I love all 5 of you!

You know, even though I lived in "The Coastal Empire" for quite a significant portion of my life, I think I have only been to the Pirates' House once. Maybe. I'm not certain that I have ever been ever, really. Still, their matchbooks used to be awesome. I doubt they still have them, but who knows? I also have a souvenir glass with the "What Foods These Morsels Be" design on the side. Get it? It is a pun! Haw Haw Haw!

You like children's music, right? Songs that you used to sing in like preschool or kindergarten?
Of course you do. You like rock music, right? Of course you do. Let's cram the two together and see what we get. We get Johnny and the Hurricanes. You can talk all you want about the racial issues and history of the South that's bundled up in the song "Jimmy Crack Corn", but that all melts away when Johnny and the Hurricanes make it rock!
Oh, "Sand Storm" is pretty good, too.
Here is it!
Also, our floors are done, so there may be some more records on the internet in our future.
Also also, while we're on the subject of music for children becoming rock songs... You guys know about English tough-guy street punk band Cock Sparrer's version of "Polly Wolly Doodle", right. Yes, I am serious.
